The cars of yesteryear have never been more in style as they are now. From model A’s to chevies to caddies…souped up, gleaming chrome and wax polishes that your mother would be proud of, these old vehicles are lovingly restored back to their former glory. That deep throaty roar as they purr down the road, there aint no sweeter sound. Travel around the area enough, there are car shows every night where these hot rods can be seen (just don’t touch!!)… click on an image to view larger

Yesterday found me heading up the Orillia with Steve Locke of Locke Photography for their 11th annual classic car show. Over 450 cars…trucks….bikes on display…all beautifully restored. We couldn’t have asked for a better day…blue sky, white puffy clouds and gorgeous warm sunshine!!

One of the hidden gems in Orillia is the Stephen Leacock house…one the literary greats from the early 1900′s. The house has been preserved with the original furniture and fixtures and its wonderful to see. The grounds are equally breathtaking. Thanks to Steven and Cathy for their hospitality afterwards and a wonderful supper….and lime flav’d beer, definitely refreshing

With the recent weather…cant complain about this nice short burst of summer sunshine. Slowly gearing up for the location change for studio at the end of this month…..preparations are underway so watch this space. Busy week ahead both in the studio on Maple Avenue and also shooting on location…..more updates here during the week
