Photoshoots with ODI Photography

MUA * Hairstylist * TFP/CD * Model Release *Paid shoots * Note to models & muas

So what can I expect from you...

We organize shoots in advance , and endeavour to work with both the model and the mua(s) [make-up artist] to ensure that the shoot runs seamlessly. Since we offer both paid shoots as well as TF* , this page is to let you know what you can expect from us. In the event that you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us using the contact link above. We never provide all of the shots taken at any shoot, nor we will provide the original image. All images that you will get however will be at full resolution and professionally retouched, and will reflect you at your best. A make up artist is normally provided on shoot, and possibly a hairstylist on larger shoots

What does the mua do?

Primarily, the mua (make up artist) applies make up on both the male and female models, and touch up's as required during the shoot. We work with the Orchid Room Beauty Spa located locally here in Barrie. The mua attending on the day ensures you look your best for the photographs and if a specific theme or look is required, the responsibility lies therein to create the look. On occassion, our regular mua may be unavailable, thus we reserve the right to secure the services of an alternative aesthetician.

What does the hairstylist do?

Well this should be self explanatory... the hairstylist does your hair... now don't be expecting a full blown session that you'd get in a hair salon...but what you can expect is to get your hair styled, maybe cut if you wish, so you have that perfect look for the photo.

Paid shoots

Well this really goes without saying, you get paid!! If you're attending a shoot for us and are being paid however, please don't expect a cd of images from us or prints, unless a specific prior agreement has been made. If you're attending a shoot by us as a client, then you receive the cd and/or prints as specified in the package selected. Prints can be purchased afterwards if you wish.

Tf* shoots

Back to top of page

TF* shoots (used to be called tfp/tfcd) is primarily a shoot where you the model trade your time modeling for us in return for us providing you with a dvd of images or prints from the shoot for use as you see fit, such as self promotion, your portfolio and so - on. A new innovation recently intrduced by us is our secure webserver where we provide you with a link to a secure online photoalbum from which you can download your images as we post process them. However, this doesn't mean that we'll give you all the images we shoot. We'll select the ones that show you at your best and professionally retouch them. However we normally ask that you sign a model release for us (see next section). Depending on circumstances, we may elect to cover travel expenses for you within reason as well as a few other perks such as lunch and refreshments.

Model Releases

All photographs where an identifiable human face is present require a model release, where the image will be added to our portfolio. Its designed to protect the model by limiting what the images may be used for (will never be used in any defamatory or pornographic context) as well as confirming s/he will be compensated for the shoot in some form. For the photographer, the models signature affirms they are aware the image(s) may be published on our website portfolio, and if it is a stock photo shoot, that the image(s) will published on our stock portfolio for possible commercial use. Each time you shoot with us, you'll need to sign a new release. If you wish to have us email you a copy of the actual release, please use our contact form and let us know

A little Note to mua's & models

Now we're all more than aware that life happens and events are sometimes beyond our control - it happens to us as well - All we simply ask is that you let us know as soon as possible if you cant make it for whatever reason. Prior to all our shoots, we give you as much contact information as possible, including email and cell numbers, please make a note of them!! We've had a few occasions where people have not shown up and it simply wastes time and planning. If you don't show up to a shoot and/or don't let us know in advance - please don't expect to work with us in the future. We're not trying to be harsh, just asking for a little professionalism and courtesy.
