Do you require a deposit?

We prefer to have a deposit of $50 at the time of booking. This is payable in person at the studio, by interac transfer online or paypal. This is credited against the cost of your package and is non refundable

 

When can I expect my prints and/or DVD?
We give priority to paid work, so if you're shooting with us TFP, then please be aware of this. Typically, we have images ready and retouched with 14 days of shooting. If we encounter some problem which results in us taking longer than expected, we'll let you know right away.

 

Do you give discounts for large orders?
Yes we do! As it depends on what your order is, we'll quote you a price when you ask and the quote is valid for 30 days.

 

What happens if I can't make the shoot as scheduled?
Sometimes the unexpected happens and we realise that some things are beyond out control. All we ask is that you let us know and we'll be more than happy to reschedule with you.Please note that you may only transfer your deposit and reschedule to a future date only if we receive notification at least 48 hours before the shoot time with the exception of certain circumstances. In the event that we can't do the shoot as scheduled, we'll also let you know.

 

What do you offer for TF* photoshoots?

Typically from a day long TF* shoot, you can expect at least ten images. As I shoot stock photography primarily, I recognise that we both need to benefit from the shoot. Commercial stock images aren't exactly what a model always wants to add to his or her portfolio, our idea is to make the shoot 50-50..and usually we ask models coming what they'd like to shoot for their portfolio. This approach normally assures everyone walks away from the shoot happy and with what they want. The one stipulation we do make for shooting TF* is that you sign a model release for us. We can show this to you beforehand if you wish, just ask us to email it to you. One of our pet peeves is when a model doesn't show up for a shoot without letting us know. As a professional courtesy, we always provide a model with our full contact information, and we'd like to think that a responsible professional model will give us a contact number as a courtesy also. As so many models in the past have let us down in this area, unfortunately we now take the view that if you cant be bothered to let us know that you cant make it, then we cant be bothered to ask you to work with us again. We're always happy to reschedule a shoot and it means a day doesn't go wasted.

 

Make-Up Artist

Although the MUA doesn't step in front of the camera, they're just as important to the shoot. We work with the Orchid Room Beauty Spa located locally here in Barrie. The mua attending on the day ensures you look your best for the photographs and if a specific theme or look is required, the responsibility to create the look. On occasion, our regular mua may be unavailable,so in that instance, we reserve the right to secure the services of an alternative aesthetician. If you require a mua for your shoot, a minimum of two weeks notice is required.

 

Hairstylist
Well this should be self explanatory... the hairstylist does your hair... now don't be expecting a full blown session that you'd get in a hair salon...but what you can expect is to get your hair styled, maybe cut if you wish, so you have that perfect look for the photo. We don't have one at every shoot however, so please be aware of that.

 

Paid Shoots
Well this really goes without saying, you get paid!! If you're attending a shoot for us and are being paid however, please don't expect a cd of images from us or prints, unless a specific prior agreement has been made. If you're attending a shoot by us as a client, then you receive the cd and/or prints as specified in the package selected.

 

The Model Release
The model release we use is designed to protect the model by limiting what the images may be used for (i.e.: will never be used in any defamatory or pornographic context for example) as well as confirming s/he will be compensated for the shoot in some form. For the photographer, the models signature affirms they are aware the image(s) may be published on our website portfolio, and/or on our stock portfolio for possible commercial use. Each time you shoot with us, you'll need to sign a new release. If you wish to have us email you a copy of the actual release, please use our contact form and let us know

 

What you wont get from us
We never provide the raw images to anyone. They remain our copyright as do the images that we shoot. You can purchase the digital raw images from us if you really do need them, and in that instance, we ask that you please contact us to discuss it further. We can't provide you with finished images on the day of the shoot. While we are excellent at what we so, we cannot perform miracles. You should expect the finished product with 10 - 30 days of the shoot.
