So what is Help Portrait? Help Portrait is a group of professional photographers joining together for one day, who are using their time, equipment and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate this holiday season. We will be providing free portraits to people in need who ordinarily could not afford the expense of a portrait session with a professional photography studio. It takes place on December 4th 2010, from 9am until 6pm.
What happens on the day? We will have professional photographers, make up artists, hairdressers, and other helpers, including students, at each location. Essentially what happens on the day is the client arrives, receives a small makeover (free of charge) and then has their portrait taken. Light snacks and refreshments will be available after the portrait session. As they wait and enjoy their coffee, their photo will be retouched and printed.
So who can come for a portrait? This is intended for people who ordinarily cannot afford a professional portrait sitting. Please contact your local church or organisation to be referred for your portrait sitting, or the contact person at your nearest venue:
